My God Shall Supply All Your Needs

Our family first heard about GSP through board member, Sam, who came to our home to do some plumbing work through Heritage. Sam and I (Bethanee) began talking at length about all the work God is doing in our lives and the ways in which he works through the Heritage foundation that Steve and his brother set up, as well as another one called Good Soil Partners. As Sam began to explain GSP to me, I heard God softly speaking to me that this is where our final donation for 2020 would be going. After Sam departed I told my husband about the conversation I had just had and told him what I felt the Lord was saying to me. I told him I was going to try to get in touch with Steve personally to have a discussion with him. I contacted Sam and asked for an introduction to Steve and eventually Steve and I were communicating. Steve set up a meeting with my husband, Jason, and I, along with his wife, Cynthia. The 4 of us met via a Zoom call and we were able to hear the heart and soul of GSP as well as the work they were doing on the ground there. When we got off the call, my husband and I sat down to pray together. We decided we wanted to get a list of all the projects they were in need of funding for, to pray for a specific number to donate, and to come back together in a day or two to pray again and discuss.

I reached out to Steve and Cynthia and asked for a list of their projects. Steve got them to me right away. Then we had questions so I called them back and Steve took the time to answer them thoroughly. When Jason and I came back together a couple of days later to discuss the projects and the number we both felt God had given to us, BOTH the projects and the numbers matched each other's promptings from the Lord. That day we sent a grant from our DAF to GSP and we knew God had led the way each step of the way - from Sam, a board member, coming to our home to do some work on our system, to our conversation that day, to the intro to Steve, to our meeting with Steve and Cynthia, to our prayer time and both of us hearing the same exact thing with regard to which projects to donate to and the exact number to give. God deserves ALL the glory for this story. He is faithful to provide the needs of the kids on the ground in Malawi.

“My God shall supply all your needs according to His riches in glory by Christ Jesus.” Phil 4:19 God is our all-powerful, all-compassionate, all-wise and all-loving heavenly Father.

Amen!The Syversen Family
