Scholarships for Accessible Education
Our Application Process
Education is a long-term investment that requires a strong commitment from the student. To receive a Good Soil Partners scholarship, we have created a rigorous application process that helps us find students who are truly dedicated to completing their education.
Each prospecting applicant has several personal interviews in addition to interviews with their parents/caretakers. Applicants must submit an essay and sign a behavioral agreement that outlines our expectations. The success rate of graduating secondary and college students has increased significantly because of the high standard for our scholarship recipients.
What Our Scholarships Provide
Every dollar donated to our scholarship students supports their daily necessities (food, housing), as well school fees and school supplies (books, backpacks, computers, uniforms). Our scholarship students also receive access to one-on-one coaching, career talks, leadership training, and weekly personal development programs with our Malawi team & other special guests. Scholarship donations support student’s educational needs and whole person wellbeing.
Access to education is an offensive weapon against poverty. A strong education gives families the opportunity to earn an income, experience food security, feel empowered to dream big, and create communities that flourish!
What’s Next
Education Isn’t Enough.
After ten years of serving in Malawi, our co-founder, Steven Chartier learned that the root causes of poverty can not be broken by education alone. 60% of college graduates in Malawi can not find full-time employment and 8/10 businesses fail within the first 3 years, and as a result, they return to the cycle of poverty. We created a place where young men & women can further their training and become equipped so they can find meaningful employment, launch their careers or even start new businesses.

The Path to Self-Sustainability
The Dream Center is a school for training and equipping young men & women in the following biblically-based programs: Identity & Destiny, Entrepreneurship, Leadership, Coaching & Mentoring, Personal Development, Work-ready programs, Business Growth Track Programs, and Sustainable Church Initiatives.
This one-of-it’s kind Center in Malawi will help thousands of people and organizations to become self-sustained.
The Dream Center
The Dream Center is a 12,000 sq.ft professionally designed building set on 50 acres of land just outside the capital city of Lilongwe. We will be offering programs that anyone can attend, not just people associated with Good Soil Partners. Our programs will be offered both in-person and online, through a web-based portal. Our online programs offer flexibility to join the organization without physically being on campus.
Partnering with Christian Nonprofits
We've also partnered with the great team at The Nehemiah Project Ministries who will be providing us with proven Biblical Entrepreneurship Content & Curriculum that we can teach our students and anyone else who attends our classes. This partnership will provide the next generation in Malawi an opportunity to create businesses and jobs that break the cycle of poverty and lead to self-sustainability.
The Nehemiah Project Ministries is a non-profit business development and support organization whose mission is to build Kingdom businesses globally through an online community, as well as a network of Community Centers around the world that are locally owned and operated in partnership. Their main goal is "Training and supporting kingdom companies through Biblical Entrepreneurship training, coaching, and access to capital."
