Good Soil Academy
The Path to
Self-Sustainability
After fourteen years of serving in Malawi, we are moving from Scholarships to Scholars. We’ve discovered if we want to see transformational leaders in Malawi, we need to create an educational environment where young people learn to honor God by loving Him, living generous lives, adding value to others, and always doing the right thing.
It takes more than excellent academics to break the cycle of poverty. 60% of college graduates in Malawi can not find employment, and as a result, they return to their villages educated but still in poverty.
What if there were a Christian secondary school where biblical leadership, skills acquisition, and entrepreneurial training coexisted with academic excellence?
A place where students can become equipped to enter college, find meaningful employment, launch a career, or even start new businesses.
Good Soil Academy is that School.
Girl’s Campus and Dorm Renderings
Good Soil Academy is…
Opening in September 2025 and will welcome its Form One Class of 60 students. The Campus hub will be the Dream Center (pictured above), a 12,000-sq. ft. professionally designed academic building set on 50 acres of land just outside the capital city of Lilongwe. This will be the academic center of our Girls' Secondary Boarding School, where we not only teach the Malawi National Curriculum with excellence but also teach Biblical leadership, job skills, technology, and entrepreneurship while nurturing our students in Christian thought and service.
We have broken ground for our Girl's dormitory, which will seek to set the standard for secondary boarding education in Malawi. Built around a quadrangle courtyard, the dormitories will offer college-style rooms, common space, and a dorm mother’s apartment. Our administrators and teachers will reside on campus and will be selected for their dedication to both academics and spiritual growth.
