L.E.A.F Program

L.E.A.F (Leadership, Entrepreneurship, Ability, and Flourish) is a program under Good Soil Network meant to equip the youth with the necessary skills in entrepreneurship, growing businesses that are unique and resilient, transforming the lives of others. Our L.E.A.F program took place on July 17th which also symbolically marked the start of Good Soil Partners Network where students presented their business plans after 2 weeks of Entrepreneurship Training. Among them were 3 students from the University of Malawi Chancellor College, 3 from the College of Medicine, 1 from the Malawi University of Science and Technology, and another from the Lilongwe University of Agriculture and Natural Resources.

Nthaka Processing: Austin from LUANAR, Geofrey, Harry, and Sydney from Chancellor College

Altogether, 4 business modules were presented:  Nthaka Processing Company which, if ventured, would focus on enhancing the quality of processed foods ensuring that they’re healthier. Phameline Hospitals would thrive at providing health care services at a profit to the community, especially in Pediatrics. Quality Works Welding and Fabrication Company came in third, leaning in towards revolutionizing the joinery world in giving the underprivileged but skilled welders the chance to be decision-makers of the business. Lastly, was Tingathe Farm would center on providing sufficient and quality foods all year round at a fair cost. We are so proud of the students who researched, learned, and presented their business models.

Qualityworks: Racheal from Malawi University of Science & Technology

The GSP students are also using their donated Microsoft computers, a gift from our Donors that will assist in easing their studies, especially those dealing with computer network engineering as well as courses that are highly conversant with computers.
