24 hour soccer fundraising event

Host a Fundraising Event

You can help us build awareness about Good Soil Partners and our programs by hosting a fundraising event in your community or maybe getting some friends together and sponsoring a student for a whole year. There are many ways you can help.

Idea suggestions:

  • A Malawian silent auction. We can help provide authentic Malawi goods, carvings, and paintings for the auction. We can also provide speakers who can talk about their time in Malawi and the impact that Good Soil Partners is making on young people in Malawi.
  • A kid-focused sporting event such as a 24-hour soccer game or bike-a-thon. Kids love helping other kids. A Concord, NH, soccer group named Samba put together a 24-hour soccer game to raise money for student scholarships in Malawi.
  • A community walk-a-thon. Get people moving for a good cause.
  • Employee and company teamwork events. Get your company or employee group to hold a fundraising event. For example, the employees of New England-based Heritage Plumbing and Heating raised more than $20,000 to install water and sewer at a clinic in Malawi. They also sent a few employees to Malawi to oversee the installation and completion of the project. The medical clinic serves about 6,000 people and had no running water for 25 years.

I see it as a privilege to be part of the GSP scholarship program as I do not only benefit tuition fees but also the leadership and entrepreneurship training programs. Through GSP I feel I will become a better leader and citizen. Thanks to GSP I am where I am now.

To GSP, my words cannot be enough to express my gratitude for the impact that you are doing in Malawi. Through your help, I am now able to help my siblings and family with some basic needs and I am now looking forward to helping more and more people so that through me they can realize their potential.

It is a great feeling seeing myself achieve my goals of being at the university while GSP is handling my tuition and other school necessities. What a big impact GSP is having in my life and my family who can not afford my college expenses. I am grateful to GSP for the impact they are making
