Emma lives with her mom, dad, brother (age 24), and four sisters ( ages 22,20,13, and 7). One of her sisters is married. Her mom has a small business selling vegetables, and her father has seasonal work selling ground nuts and maize. She enjoys chatting with friends and sharing.
Emma’s strengths in school are math and physics.Chemistry is a struggle. She is challenged in school by the lack of books, which she tries to overcome by taking excellent notes in the classes. She won an award for being one of the top three students in her school and received a trip to Lilongwe.
Emma valued the leadership training she received from Good Soil Partners. It has helped her to be generous to others and consistent in her goals and studies. She would like to go to college to become a doctor. Her parents can not afford that and she would be grateful if Good Soil Partners would pay her fees. Emma is also trying to get accepted into an exchange program, and she asked if Good Soil Partners would support her in that quest.
