In 2013, I was chosen to go to Lilongwe Girls School, a national high school in Malawi for well-achieving women. In 2016, my Dad, who had always been my pillar of support, passed on. I started facing problems could no longer afford to attend the school. That when Good Soil Partners stepped in and started helping me with school fees and basic necessities. I was able to take my MSCE exams and was selected to the College of Medicine where I am working on an honors degree in medical laboratory sciences. I have always dreamed of becoming a medical scientist, and Good Soil Partners is helping me fulfill my dreams.
Angellah N. Update!
Update on Angellah N.:
Angellah has been back to school at the College of Medicine for a few months now! She is
studying currently for exams that will be coming up on October 14 th. She is feeling confident
that she will do well on these exams – go Angellah!
Angellah’s mom has been very sick recently and was supposed to have a very complicated liver
surgery in China. Her family was worried on how they would arrange her transportation to
China. Through much prayer and interventions, Angellah is happy to report that her mother will
not need surgery and that her liver is responding normally. This is great news and we are all very grateful for this!
Angellah is doing well at the College of Medicine and she thanks you for all your support!
How long will I sponsor the same student?
Length of sponsorship for a student is your choice. We are thankful for the donations we receive. Good Soil Partners would be grateful to receive sponsorship of a student that follows her/him through their education either in secondary or college/higher education. It would be great if you could help a child from their teenage years all the way through to them being productive adults thriving and helping the future of Malawi succeed.
What does my donation go toward?
Your donation will go toward student tuition, we support children in Secondary (High) Schools, in National Schools and Colleges. All of these students were chosen based on their high academic abilities, passing government exams and an application process completed by Good Soil Partners Board of Directors and local advisory person. The costs involved for each student ranges based on their particular circumstances, some of the things we provide are; tuition, room and board, food, school supplies and fees, school uniforms, computer, leadership training, as well as career & development opportunities.
Are other people sponsoring the same child?
People may be sponsoring the same child depending on your total donation and the cost of the students school and examination fees, school supplies, school uniforms and basic needs of secondary students. College students may also have more than one sponsor due to cost of tuition fees, stipend for boarding and food, writing materials and a computer.
Will my sponsored child write to me?
If you choose to sponsor a student, you will receive updates on a quarterly basis from the website.
