Financial Stewardship

We Teach Financial Literacy at All Levels

Transparency + Accountability = Ownership

The mission of Good Soil Partners is to create and build self-sustainability in Malawi and within our organization. We do this through financial stewardship. We educate and share all financial systems that impact the health of the organization with all Good Soil Partners stakeholders. We believe this process fosters ownership at all levels of the organization.

Each $1.00 donated to Good Soil Partners equates to about $1.25 in the influence and impact we are having with young people in Malawi. Through our student partner “Giving Back” programs, we utilize many of our college-level students to help mentor other students and facilitate our training and development programs as well as various operational functions. This provides great savings for our organization and helps us stretch each dollar to make the most impact.

In 2018, Good Soil Partners used only 5% of its total operating expenses to manage the programs in Malawi. That means that 95% of all donations went directly to benefit our student partner programs within Malawi.

Financial Stewardship

I see it as a privilege to be part of the GSP scholarship program as I do not only benefit tuition fees but also the leadership and entrepreneurship training programs. Through GSP I feel I will become a better leader and citizen. Thanks to GSP I am where I am now.

To GSP, my words cannot be enough to express my gratitude for the impact that you are doing in Malawi. Through your help, I am now able to help my siblings and family with some basic needs and I am now looking forward to helping more and more people so that through me they can realize their potential.

It is a great feeling seeing myself achieve my goals of being at the university while GSP is handling my tuition and other school necessities. What a big impact GSP is having in my life and my family who can not afford my college expenses. I am grateful to GSP for the impact they are making
